The reform pilot of import hazardous chemicals inspection mode was officially launched in Inner Mongolia

Hohhot Customs said on the 12th that the reform pilot of the inspection mode of imported dangerous chemicals had been officially launched in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The reform of the inspection mode of imported dangerous chemicals is an important adjustment to the inspection place of imported dangerous chemicals. The General Administration of Customs sets the inspection place and sampling proportion for the classification of imported dangerous chemicals according to the nature of dangerous chemicals and the type of packaging of dangerous goods, and implements the mode of "100% document verification+port inspection or destination inspection".

According to the official, recently, in the dangerous goods storage warehouse of Ordos Yuansheng Photoelectric Co., Ltd., the Ordos customs officer of Hohhot Customs carried out destination inspection on a batch of imported photoresists weighing 2760kg and valued at 986900 yuan.

According to the customs, this is the first batch of imported dangerous chemicals to be inspected in Inner Mongolia since the General Administration of Customs implemented the pilot work of the reform of the inspection mode of imported dangerous chemicals nationwide. The move marks the official launch of the pilot reform of the inspection mode of imported dangerous chemicals in Inner Mongolia.

"Before the policy reform pilot, our goods can only be temporarily stored in the port warehouse, and the storage cost is relatively high. After the new policy pilot starts, the goods can be directly transported to the company, and the inspection takes only one to two hours, saving a lot of costs and time." said Hong Liang, director of the logistics department of Ordos Yuansheng Photoelectric Co., Ltd.

"After the implementation of the pilot reform, some imported hazardous chemicals will be transferred to the territory for inspection. On the one hand, it can reduce the storage cost of imported hazardous chemicals at the port, avoid the risk of detention of imported hazardous chemicals at the port, and strengthen the safety management of hazardous chemicals; on the other hand, it can make comprehensive use of customs supervision resources to improve the efficiency of port clearance." said Wang Yunpeng, head of the third section of Ordos Customs Supervision.
